When not to use?
- Allergy
- Severe renal impairment
- Congestive Heart Failure
- severe liver impairment
- Unstable angina
General warnings
Mild to average liver impairment
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of liver function impairment due to the enlarged risk of severe unfortunate effects including very low blood pressure. Close monitoring of blood pressure is suggested for such patients. Appropriate dose replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical situation.
Driving and Operating machines
This medicine may cause symptoms such as dizziness in some patients. It is guided that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle if you feel dizziness while taking this medicine.
Mild to moderate renal impairment
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of renal function constipation due to the increased risk of severe unfavorable effects. Close monitoring of blood pressure is suggested for such patients. Suitable dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be needed based on the clinical condition.
Angina pectoris
This medicine should be used with caution due to the increased risk of angina pectoris. This risk is mainly higher in patients with heart diseases and especially at the beginning of therapy. Replacement with a suitable option may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
Lotensyl tablet is not suggested for use in pregnant women due to the increased risk of fetal harm. Your doctor may advise a safer alternative based on your clinical state.
Breastfeeding
This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Your doctor may instruct you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the drug based on your clinical condition.
