General Instructions
Take this medicine correctly as advised by your doctor. Do not take in more significant amounts than prescribed. It is suggested to take this medicine in the daytime to prevent sleep disturbance. Drink an adequate amount of water. Monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes levels is necessary while taking this drug. Report any adverse effects to the doctor on priority. Do not stop the use of this medication without consulting your doctor.
When Not to Use?
Allergy
Avoid taking Oflox Tz Syrup if you have a known allergy to this medicine or any other medicines belonging to the class fluoroquinolones.
General warnings
This medication may cause nasty side effects. These contain irritated or torn tendons; nerve problems in the arms, hands, legs, or feet; and nervous system problems. These side effects can occur alone or at the same time. They can occur within hours to weeks after beginning this drug. Some of these side effects may not cure and may lead to disorder or death. Talk with the doctor.
The possibility of irritated or torn tendons is higher in people over the age of 60; heart, kidney, or lung transplant patients; or people using steroid drugs. Tendon problems can occur as long as several months after treatment. Call your doctor immediately if you have pain, bruising, or swelling in the back of the ankle, shoulder, hand, or other joints. Call your doctor immediately if you are not capable to move or carry weight on a joint or if you hear or feel a snap or pop.
Ask your doctor right away if you have a signal of nerve problems. These may include not being good to handle heat or cold; change in the sense of touch; or burning, numbness, tingling, pain, or deficiency in the arms, hands, legs, or feet.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
Oflox medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women except in life-threatening conditions. All the risks and benefits should confer about with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may advise a safer alternative based on your clinical condition.
Breastfeeding
This medicine is not commended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. All the dangers and advantages should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may direct you to discontinue breastfeeding or to terminate the drug based on your clinical condition.
