General Instructions
Before using this drug, Tell your family doctor or pharmacist about your current list of medications over the counter products that are vitamins, herbal supplements. Allergies, current health conditions, and pre-existing diseases(e.g., upcoming surgery, pregnancy, etc.). Some medical situations may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your physician or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if your condition persists or worsens
When Not to Use
Allergy :
this medication is not suggested to take if you have a known allergy to this pill or any other Beta-lactam antibiotics.
General warnings
Allergy :
this drug is not suggested for use if you have a known allergy to Cefoprox 100 mg pill or Beta-lactam Antibiotics. Call immediate medical attention if you experience any allergic symptoms like rash, itching, nausea or vomiting, swelling of the lips, hands, and feet, etc.
Diarrhea:
Discontinue the use of this medicine as per the doctor's instructions if severe diarrhea occurs after receiving this pill. This drug may cause an imbalance in the microbial flora of the large intestine, reducing the gut-friendly bacteria and stimulating the growth of a bacteria called Clostridium difficile, resulting in severe diarrhea.
Impaired Kidney function:
This medication should be used with caution in patients suffering from any kidney (renal) disease. Suitable dose modifications are to be made based on CrCl.
Drug resistance:
Usage of this medication without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection must be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in even cause toxicity and providing the benefits. This drug also increases the risk of development of bacteria that are drug resistant.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy:
it is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary, and the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Breastfeeding:
it is not suggested for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. If the drug is used, close monitoring of the infant for any undesired effects is essential.
