General Instructions
Take Sparta 200 mg tablet with or without food. Do not take in more copious amounts than advised. Confer the doctor if you experience any undesirable effects. Do not stop taking medicine before completion of course.
When Not to Use?
Allergy
Avoid using this drug if you have a known allergy to it or any other fluoroquinolones.
Tendinitis or tendon rupture
Avoid if you have a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture after using this medication.
Myasthenia gravis
Avoid if you have a history of myasthenia gravis or family history of myasthenia gravis.
General warnings
Tendinitis and tendon rupture
Use of this drug will increase the risk to develop tendinitis or tendon rupture during the treatment or various months after treatment. It will influence the shoulder, hand, back of the ankle, or other parts of the body. The risk is greater if you are more than 60 years of age and have a history of kidney, heart, or lung transplant and joint disease. You are also at high risk if you are on corticosteroids like dexamethasone, methylprednisolone or prednisone.
Drug-resistance
Usage of this Tablet without enough proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing advantages and even cause toxicity. It may also expand the risk of development of bacteria that are drug resistant.
Pediatric use
The protection and efficacy of this drug have not been established in children and adolescents less than 18 years of age.
Central nervous system effects
This medication should be used with care in patients suffering from epilepsy or other CNS disorders. Terminate the treatment if any symptoms appear until the exact cause is identified.
Impaired liver function
This medicine should be applied with care in patients with a history of liver injury due to the growth in the risk of liver enzymes.
Harm kidney function
Sparta 200mg Tablet should be used with care in patients with kidney disease. Adequate hydration is keep to prevent accumulation of the medication. The dose of the medication should be regulated based on the CrCl.
Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
This medicine is not suggested for use during pregnancy unless necessary. Consult your doctor about the potential advantages and risks before deciding to take this drug.
Breastfeeding
Use of this medicine is not suggested in women who breastfeed due to the adverse effect on the development of the infant's joints. Use only if needed under the supervision of the doctor. Monitoring of displeasing effects like diarrhea and diaper rash is required.
